Naturalmente, THE KILLERS estan siendo incluidos en muchas listas de "lo mejor del 2007" he aqui algunos ejemplos:
De Australia's Rip It Up magazine:
TOP 20 SINGLES
1. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND
Radio Nowhere
(Sony/BMG)
Delivering more direct grunt than The Boss had managed since Born In The USA , Radio Nowhere was an agitated, antagonistic and awesome return.
2. THE KILLERS FEAT LOU REED
Tranquilize
(UMA)
Filled with thingysure confidence, The Killers enlisted the junkie monotones of Lou Reed for a perfect hit.
De Las Vegas City Life:
The best of the really good
Long year. Great local albums. How many? We stopped counting, but here are the 10 best
Determining the top 10 local albums has never required much deliberating. Rarely has it been difficult to pare down a list of contenders whenever we found enough to warrant such a list (which didn't even run last year). But in 2007, from modern rock and hip-hop to electronic music and folk, and by both veterans and newbies, Vegas' musical landscape was in wide bloom. The following alphabetically ordered rundown is just a taste of 2007's bountiful pickings.
The Killers
Sawdust (Island)
Surely someone will bemoan the big-label-album placement here, one reason possibly being the sacrifice of an underexposed band over another known the world 'round and frequently out of town. But The Killers have not abandoned their Las Vegas residencies, and Sawdust -- a collection of import B-sides, soundtrack selections, remixes, covers and unreleased tunes -- showcases some of the best chops of any rock band birthed in Sin City. Perhaps it's not fair -- after all, what local band has the clout to find its way onto a Spider-Man soundtrack, get remixed by Madonna's current production guru or call up none other than Lou Reed for a collaboration? That a Las Vegas band accomplished all that is worth the extra kudos.
