Cage The Elephant are to replace The Hold Steady on next week's Later... With Jools Holland on BBC2.
The Hold Steady had to cancel after guitarist Tad Kubler was diagnosed with pancreatitis on Monday.
Bloc Party and Allen Toussaint appear on October 21, with My Morning Jacket, Seu Jorge and Grace Jones on October 28 and The Killers, Fleet Foxes and Pendulum on November 4.
